DAIRIBORD Holdings Limited has said Covid-19 lockdowns impacted negatively on their business.

In an interview with H-Metro, at their stand at the ongoing Zimbabwe Agricultural Show yesterday, brand manager, Tatenda Saseke, said procurement of raw materials, as well as delivery times, were affected, during the lockdown era.

“During the tightened Covid-19 restrictions, we were really affected as a company.

“Supply of raw materials, and the delivery times, were affected.

“It obviously meant that production, and availability of products, was affected.

“Our products were suppressed since they are perishables,” she said.

Although they didn’t suffer a lot of losses, she said they felt the impact.

“The nature of our product portfolio is that we have got milk, food and beverage products, so we end up having a balanced project.

“We have got healthy competitions, with companies like Delta, because of the nature of our products.

“We are very competitive, for instance, our product Pfuko Maheu is a competitor of Shumba Maheu, a product of Delta.

“I really feel like our products are a key factor on the market,” she said.
