POPULAR wheel-spinner DJ Cables believes his status in showbiz is growing with each passing year and he owes it to hard work.
For the past years, Cables has been staging solo shows but has since formed an ensemble which he named High family to match the current standards.
High Family will comprise of Cables, MC Maheke and also groom upcoming DJs and emcees.
Cables spoke to H-Metro ahead of his performance alongside Killer T at The Eland in Kuwadzana 6 this Saturday.
“We now operate as High Family and I am happy with the progressed we are making so far,” he said.
“To me it’s a dream coming true and we have a number of things we want to achieve.
“We will be performing in Kuwadzana this Saturday alongside Killer T for his ghetto tour shows,” said Cables.
Cables’ move is aimed at matching the standards of other sounds like Judgment Yard, Immortal Movement, Game Recognise Game and Bodyslam Family on to mention a few.
“These are just the dynamics of entertainment and we want to make sure that we give our fans the real value for their money.
“So apart from the good selection, we felt it is also good to rope in an emcee who will be communicating with fans,” he added.
