Award winning wheelspinner and music producer, DJ Stavo-real name Steven Sanders- has released the lead track off his debut Extended Play (EP).
Titled Piano Move, the entertainer features South African artistes C’Buda M, Sdida, Man T and Tanzanian vocalist Sam Kam.
C’Buda M is well known for the amapiano track Gong Gong.
The song is DJ Stavo’s second release this year after making a comeback on the music scene a few months ago with an Afrotech song titled Ad Astra.
Speaking to H-Metro Entertainment & Lifestyle, DJ Stavo said:
“My new single is my first amapiano track and I will be releasing from my upcoming EP (Piano Move).
“The track is basically to inspire the amapiano movement and crossing over to Europe, America and get everyone knowing about the Piano Movement and getting them to dance to piano.”
DJ Stavo also dismissed the rumour that he had retired from music, saying he was taking time to refocus on his sound and brand.
“I being quiet was just to refocus on my music and understand my new sound and really taking my time to perfect my craft and brand.
“There was a rumour I had retired but no is the answer I’m here and I feel I have so much more to offer and that’s why I will be dropping my first ever EP.
“I actually have two EPs I have been working on.
“I have been known for singles so I have decided to drop two EPs one is amapiano and the other is Afrotech.
“I am hoping the amapiano EP will be ready for November but no promises as I need to be happy with it before I release it fully.
“People can also expect videos on this EP which I am really excited about,” he said.
DJ Stavo boasts of a catalogue of hit songs like Mwedzi Muchena featuring the late Oliver Mtukudzi, The Journey featuring Roki and Sexy Darling featuring DJ Maphorisa, DJ Buckz and Dj Clap among others.
