A DRIVER employed by Premium Delit Investments allegedly duped the company of 500 litres of fuel.

Panashe Mutasa was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

The court heard that instead of requesting for fuel at the stipulated times, Mutasa requested for refueling on every delivery and received 600 litres.

He misrepresented facts to the fuel attendants and would go to different office bearers, who issued fuel disbursement vouchers.

He would then siphon the fuel and selll it to dealers.

From the 600 litres of fuel he took,  only 83.06 litres were used for his official assignments.

The other 516.94 litres was converted for his own use.
