Drug Free Zim, making an impact to fight against Drugs

Drug Free Zim, is an organisation that was founded by Billy Jassat and Clint Robinson three years ago.

The organisation collaborates with various stakeholders including Arcadia C.H.I.L.D Trust and Pumumvuri Mental Health Care, in which Billy Jassat used to serve in both organisations’ Boards as Trustee.

Its mandate is to educate and empower the citizens of Zimbabwe about the dangers of addiction and how to help those who are struggling with it.

Billy Jassat and Clint Robinson, believes that the power lies within each of us to make a difference. Standing together, united in our mission to combat drug addiction and to spread the message of hope and healing.

“We at Drug Free Zim have come to the understanding that Victory in Saving the Lives  of our youth and the well-being of our future generations lie in the hands of the youth themselves.”

“Your actions today can pave the way for a brighter, healthier tomorrow. Join the fight, lend your strength, and become a part of a movement that is dedicated to saving lives and building a better world.” said Billy Jassat

“Be the change! Each one of you has the potential to be a beacon of hope for those struggling with addiction. By choosing to stand against drugs, you are not only protecting your own future but also offering a helping hand to those in need.”

“You can create a community where support triumphs over stigma, and compassion overcomes judgment.”

“You are the hope we have to make the change we wish to see in our Zimbabwe by extending a hand of understanding and empathy to those battling addiction,” said Clint Robinson

Drug Free Zim has achieved commendable milestones in the past year by raising awareness about substance abuse and engaging communities effectively.

They have made several Drug Awareness programs across the country, so far in Harare, Kwekwe, Gweru and Bulawayo.

Their Drug Awareness programs attracted over 5,000 attendees across various cities.

Additionally, they were invited to assist with the outreach program held in Epworth.

Furthermore, they have held school’s programs in both Harare and Kwekwe, educating over 4,000 school children including the Epworth project.

Drug Free Zim’s dedication to reaching out to youth through impactful programs and interventions has been praiseworthy.

Educating young people about the severe consequences of substance abuse and providing them with tools to make informed decisions is crucial for fostering a healthier community.

Looking ahead to 2024, Drug Free Zim aims to intensify their efforts in driving to Empower the Communities program, with a special focus on launching the new Drug Free Zim Youth Warriors Program.

“Drug Free Zim “Youth Warriors” It’s time for you to rise up and make a difference in helping and leading the youth of Zimbabwe to a Healthy and Sustainable life.”

“Together, we can make a difference. Are you ready to join the Drug Free Youth Warriors in the War Against Drugs and make Zimbabwe Great? Let’s do this!” said Billy Jassat

This initiative targets youth education, aiming to engage and empower young individuals in the fight against substance abuse, thus paving the way for a drug-free society.
