TWO people of no fixed abode facing theft charges were yesterday denied bail by Mbare magistrate Elizabeth Magomore.
The State had proved that the duo Nyasha Kanyimo and Tariro Saidi who appeared in court facing multiple charges, among them theft, have no permanent residence.
They had provided addresses of their relatives but they used to stay in brothels.
The State argued that the duo had other fresh charges deeming them unqualified for bail.
The presiding magistrate consented with the State and denied the suspects bail.
In her bail ruling, magistrate Magomore said since the two were of no fixed abode, it would be difficult to trace them if they decided to abscond.
She said it was in the best interest of the court to continue with the trial whilst they are in custody.
They were remanded in custody to March 7.
