FORMER Zimbabwe Miss Tourism queen, Sakhile Dube, says is yet to get her prizes, two years after the pageant’s inauguration.
The Women’s University Africa student was promised a Toyota IST, US$500, among other valuables, after winning the contest.
Sakhile said she has now lost hope.
“The only thing I got were handbags from Lydia K that she sponsored.
“Mr Morelife (pageant organiser) kept saying he was busy or he would say he has travelled until he stopped responding and eventually changed his contact details,” said Sakhile.
Contacted for comment, Morelife Mapeture, the licence holder, said:
“I cannot comment about that (prizes) since I was just a licence holder and Vivian Banhire, was the organiser, and the one to answer.”
Banhire confirmed Sakhile is owed her prizes but she was no longer part of 24/7 Entertainment, which hosted Zimbabwe Miss Tourism 2020.
Other winners of the pageant also confirmed they were yet to receive their prizes too.
