FACES OF ARMED ROBBERS CAPTURED ON CCTV

THE faces of six armed robbers, who pounced on a farm in Goromonzi on Sunday, were captured on CCTV.

The robbers stole US$3 000 and other valuables.

In a statement, national police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said:

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may assist in the investigations of a case of armed robbery which occurred at Pircy Farm in Goromonzi.

“Six suspects, armed with machetes and pistols, gained entry to the farm by cutting the fence at the backyard.

“They entered the kitchen through an open door before attacking the farm owner.

“The suspects stole US$3000, various clothes, two speakers, three cellphones, laptop, jewellery, groceries and three firearms.

“The firearms, two shotguns and a pellet gun, were later recovered and dumped at the backyard of the farm house.

“The faces and clothing worn by the suspects were later observed on the CCTV system installed around the yard.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police urges anyone with information regarding the incident to contact any nearest Police Station,” said Commissioner Nyathi.
