Rhumba maestro, Fally Ipupa who had his maiden performance in the country last Saturday at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), put up a good show.
Despite the artiste not attracting a full house, the gig was one to remember for many revellers attended as the Congolese star singer put up an impressive act on stage.
The award winning singer came on stage just after 1am, in the early hours of Sunday morning and was welcomed with wild cheers.
Fally and his band boast of a unique rhumba style and display. They stole the hearts of lady patrons with their seductive dance moves and well put together catalogue.
His crowd interaction and call up of women to come join him on the dance floor also added flair to his set.
Songs like Eloko, Original, Sexy dance, French kiss and Kiname were some of the crowds favourite tunes.
He also performed his new single Nidja featuring R. Kelly.
Even one that did not know some of his songs was still entertained as Fally and his outfit’s choreography was well put together.
Towards the end of his set he was joined by Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure and saluted him for bringing him to Zimbabwe.
First to perform at the show was Brian K then came Diamond Musica before legend Oliver Mtukudzi warmed up the stage for Fally.
Upcoming rhumba musician, Juntal closed down the show and also put up a commendable performance.
He had a good team of energetic dancers and his hit song Mutupo was popular with revelers.
It was only unfortunate that some of the people began to walk out after Fally Ipupa’s performance as they now headed to the recently open Club Sankayi that was hosting the concert after party.
Stage and Sound
The stage and sound at the Fally Ipupa is one of the thing that the organisers of the show should be commended about.
G World Entertainment pitched up a state of the art stage with good lighting and quality sound output that really brought a live and fulfilling concert experience.
G World promise more events
After hosting the Davido and Fally Ipupa shows, G World Entertainment has promised more events.
DJ Juice of G World Entertainment revealed that more shows are lined up and Zimbabweans should brace for some good shows.
“We want to thank all those that have been supporting G World Entertainment from our first show to the second one.
“Fally is one of the best rhumba acts at the moment and we had to bring him for those that love the genre.
“We want to try and cater for various people by bringing different acts of different genres.
“We have more events lined up and people should expect them as the year progresses,” he said.
