Organisers of the Kariba October Festival have revealed that this year’s event will have three boats to mark their third anniversary celebrations.

The boat fete is held annually every October and this year will be held from October 22-23.

 

Attendees of the event, party will party on the boat on Kariba waters and will also have a stopover at one of the islands for a fish braai.

 

Zim Events in partnership with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority are behind the event.

 

In an interview with H Metro Entertainment and Lifestyle, Zim Events Operations, Allan “Dj Blaze” Mambo said:

 

“The Kariba October Festival will this year be bigger and better. We are using three boats this year from Platinum, Gold and Silver so that we give patrons a variety of packages to pick from.

 

“The main activities will be the six-hour boat cruise with other exciting new water activities like parasailing, jet skiis, and zumba before the cruise.”

 

He added:

 

“The boat will anchor for about two hours for a fish braai party with patrons enjoying music from the boat whilst they are treat some of the best fish from Kariba waters.

 

“The event rounds up with sight-seeing and game drives on the last day.

 

“The event is all about promoting local tourism.”
