OLD Hararians Sports Club will be the entertainment hub in the capital this Easter weekend when it holds the inaugural blockbuster Sunshine City Festival.

The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Organisers say they designed the event to compliment the artists, sports-persons and entertainers who have put the capital in the spotlight.

The event has been endorsed by the city fathers who have pledged full security.

The top acts are Jah Prayzah and Winky D who will play on different days.

“It’s almost time, all logistics are in place for the biggest braai out event and we await to roll out pomp and funfair.

“This is the biggest event for anyone looking to have an unforgettable Easter weekend experience, we are guaranteeing our patrons a festival full of activities,” said event director, Nigel Chinovhiringa, of Tamba Events.

He added:

“You don’t want to miss all the action, this is the biggest event of the year in terms of the music, sports, fun run and outdoor entertainment.

“The festival promises to be full of fun and we urge all our patrons to purchase all their advance tickets to avoid disappointment at the gates.

“There is going to be festivities and fun for the whole family.”

A star-studded line-up, which includes boy band Mokoomba, Selmor Mtukudzi, ExQ, Jah Signal and the Chillspot Family, will perform alongside Jah Prayzah on Friday.

Killer T, Master H, Bazooker and Bling 4 will perform alongside Winky D on Saturday.

Social media personality Mai TT will emcee the event.

A fun run and social football match, dubbed “Wafa Wafa,” pitting some of the biggest social league teams in the capital, has been roped in as part of the entertainment.

Gates open at midday on both days.

Ordinary tickets, under the second phase, are now pegged at US$20 and US$50 for VIP.

Tickets are available at Mambo’s Chicken.
