TOP South African rapper, Focalistic, can’t wait to meet his fans in Harare this weekend, a local music promoter has said.
The 25-year-old, who is set to headline the “Dope Party” on Saturday at the HICC, will be supported by Winky D, Buffalo Souljah, Killer T, Enzo Ishall, Sandra Ndebele and Stunner.
More Entertainment (Soft Life), under the leadership of Letmore Mbidzo, is behind the show.
Mbidzo said the Pretoria-born rapper was ready for his first show in the capital.
“Focalistic is ready for the Harare show and it seems he was enticed by the offer we gave him and what lies ahead.
“In recent months, Zimbabwe has hosted top South African acts like Major League DJz, Black Diamond, DJ Maphorisa and, most recently Makhadzi, which shows there is a ready market for our brothers in music across the Limpopo.
“We are pleased to be hosting Focalistic, who is set to arrive on the day of the show,” he said.
Mbidzo, who is no stranger with hosting international acts, was upbeat Focalistic will give fans value for their money.
“Over the past few months, we have been studying the market carefully in terms of what fans require when it comes to high profile shows.
“It was not by default that we decided to host Focalistic, who is the favourite of many of those who frequent clubs in Zimbabwe, and the region.
“On that note, we urge people to purchase advance tickets at the HICC to avoid last-minute disappointment,” he said.
Born Lethabo Sebetso in Pretoria, the versatile rapper is known for such popular hits as Jaiva, Gupta Remix, Ke Star, 16 Days No Sleep, among others.
Having started off as a footballer, Focalistic found his calling as a musician and never looked back.
The rapper is also credited for promoting Amapiano in South Africa.
Variety is guaranteed at this show where South Africa-based dancehall artist, Buffalo Souljah, will be reunited with Winky D.
He has collaborated with the Ninja president on the tracks such as Rugare and Ndidye Mari.
Zim dancehall lovers should look forward to Enzo Ishall and Killer T.
Bulawayo-based diva, Sandra Ndebele, is also part of the cast.
Stunner has been afforded yet another platform to shine as the “granddaddy” of Zim Hip Hop.
