NGEZI Platinum forward Delic Murimba is yet to score in the current Castle Lager Premiership campaign.

The Mhondoro side will host Dynamos on Sunday at Baobab.

The 24-year-old scored 13 times last season to force his name into the Soccer Stars of the Year calendar.

He was the only player who scored four times in a match last season when they thumped Whawha 5-0.

Somehow, his second season with Ngezi doesn’t seem to be what the doctor ordered as he has just had one start all season.

Takunda Benhura, Tinotenda Murasiranwa and Claude Mapoka, have been getting the nod ahead of him.

Ngezi have the most goals in the campaign (15), the same as Bulawayo Chiefs.

“Football is always a game of teamwork and the coach knows what’s best for the team,” said Murimba.

“We have a strong squad and the good thing is that we have started well, we now have to maintain the pace, which we have set for ourselves.

“I’m not worried about my role, it also challenges me to do more and it’s just a matter of time before things start to flow.”

He added.

“We have been playing big games lately but I think playing Dynamos at home doesn’t give you the home advantage because they have a huge following.

“But, our fans have been our secret to this good start, they have been amazing in cheering us and this is going to motivate us to post positive results.

“We learnt a lot last weekend against Chicken Inn, our coach has been consistently reminding us that it’s now water under the bridge and everyone is ready for Dynamos.”
