DANCEHALL musician Freeman has hailed United Family International Church for according him a chance to minister before their congregation last Friday in Chegutu.
Freeman, real name Energy Sylvester Chizanga, shared the stage with Minister Michael Mahendere, Kudakwashe Mutsvene and Tinashe Magacha at an all-night prayer dubbed ‘Liberation Night, Verdict of Release’ held at Pfupajena Secondary School grounds.
The Zvakaipa Ita Ndisiye hit-maker, who is an ardent follower of Johanne Masowe yeChishanu, told H-Metro that he felt blessed and honoured to minister through music to Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s church members.
“Ndiri mupositori asi zvaitwa naPastor weUFIC ndanzwa kukomborerwa nekuremekedzwa zvikuru nhasi,” said Freeman better known as HKD Boss.
“It is rare to be invited to such holy gatherings considering the type of music I sing but I felt honoured and given a chance to think twice on selection of words.
“I want to thank Pastor Shacky Timburwa as well as UFIC members for the sing along to prove that they listen to my music,” said Freeman.
