A GIFTED primary school student, Kendra Kadhanga, has been awarded a full educational scholarship by Fidelity Life Assurance Company (FLAC), which has also guaranteed her a job when she graduates.
The talented Kendra, who is in Grade 5 at Rotterview College in Kadoma, charmed FLAC managing director, Reginald Chihota, with her lip-syncing and dancing talents at a end-of-year Kadoma Women’s Business Club organised grocery sharing event.
Kendra is a member of the True Stars Dance Group, which was part of the entertainment line-up, at the event.
Chihota announced that FLAC would take her on board as the face of its adverts and granted her a scholarship which covers all her educational needs.
Kendra’s father, Pardon Nyanyiwa (42), hailed FLAC for its generosity and welcomed the opportunity given to his daughter, saying it had come as a true blessing.
“God has opened avenues for her. We thank Fidelity Life and Mr Chimombe of Rotterview College. I was taken by surprise as this does not often happen, let alone to children growing up in high-density areas,” said Nyanyiwa.
Kendra is the last born and only girl in a family of three children.
