GOSPEL musician Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave has bounced back onto the music scene with a new album.
The songstress, who told H-Metro last year that she was quitting music to pursue other passions, will be releasing her latest offering on Star FM TODAY.
The new album titled My Healing Devotion, carries nine tracks and Fungisai will have signed copies ready for her fans at the launch, which will be held during the 326 Express show.
“Just when I thought I was done with music, the Holy Spirit himself put the nine songs in my heart and I couldn’t shut them out.
“It would have been a disservice to the Christian community and I am realising how elect I am as a Christian artist.
“I understand why I have been glorious and have conqueredin all the trying situations of my music career which I have since discovered to be a ministry,” Fungisai said.
The new album will include the sound that brought the musician to fame and the new dancehall twist that brought about the “church person” title.
Fungisai now accepts music as her calling.
“I would have wanted my music to be just a job like any other but my experience on the ground has made me realise how music can only be a ministry and nothing else for me.
“I have accepted it and I am excited!
“The new album is the spiritual realm to tap in so much that whenever I sit down to listen to it I know that it’s not my expertise in composing music nor the ability of my voice that stands out but the spirit of God speaking into people’s situations through me,” she concluded.
