GALAXY Academy founder and junior football coach Fungai Kamwaza says they are looking forward to their scheduled Zambian trip next month in Lusaka.
Kamwaza believes the tour is crucial for the club and is set for October 20 to 22.
This will be the third time the academy will be traveling to the neighboring country after visits in 2018 and 2019.
The academy was formed in 2009 and is based at ZB Sports Club.
It has produced several players who have played for the local top-flight clubs.
Currently, they have Cobert Chimedza and Bradley Mudzikitiri, who are plying their trade in the UK and Australia.
“This tour is very important mainly because it was done over a period when we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and we were the first academy to be involved with Zambia Independence celebrations.
“It happened just before Covid-19 and it was a success both on and off the field.
“However, because of Covid-19 our academy has never been the same so we want to use its platform to regain momentum again.”
He added:
“We have players who have managed to turn and play in different corners of the world, playing in different divisions.
“We are an academy that concentrates on development, which we believe is the key component in building a competitive and technical player.”
