AFRO-POP musician Garry Tight yesterday took it to his instagram page blaming promoters who did not give him a chance to perform at Tuku’s send off concert.
Tight told H-Metro that he was denied the right to send off his mentor by the organisers who actually chased him away from the stage.
“I do not want to talk about it because I am still in pain. I am still mourning my father, friend and mentor.
“I was actually told that I was supposed to perform when the body departs but was chased away from the stage. I shall not mention any names. I am in pain,” said Tight.
One of the promoters Chipaz told H-Metro that they are very apologetic to artistes who did not get the chance to perform at the concert.
“On behalf of other promoters we apologise to those artistes who did not get the opportunity to perform. To us an artiste is an artiste we treat you equally.
“As for Garry, we had tight instructions as per programme that the body had to leave at exactly 3pm and we had agreed as promoters that the song Ndakuenda by Dr Mtukudzi had to be performed and we had liaised with Jah Prayzah kuti paisimuka Presidential guard crew kunotora body the song automatically had to be played and we had no option but to let Garry step down and perform later after the tight programme.”
