GOSPEL outfit, Purple Pride Family, has dropped an accompanying video to their song, Praise Medley.

Taken off their 16-track Restoration Live DVD recording, the visuals are spiritually uplifting.

The DVD was also part of the outfit’s 10-year anniversary celebrations.

Group founder and visionary, Albertt Mtengwa said they were excited to launch their single accompanied with a video.

“Praise Medley celebrates our common church choruses and it’s coming from the Restoration Live DVD recording which we launched on September 24.

“As the Purple Pride Family, we decided to open up our Restoration Live DVD, with a Praise Medley, which had common public domain songs from local church hymns.

“We then had to rearrange the songs such that they fit under five minutes.

“We then managed to have songs like Down the Valley, Kurangarirwa naJesu, Anokuda Mponesi, Takapihwa Makomborero.

“We also have our popular hit song ‘Musandikanganwe,’ which featured Leonard Zhakata, which was composed by Macdonald Macdee Chidavaenzi,” he said.

Mtengwa said Praise Medley was arranged by Tatenda Nyangani, who is their musical director.

“This was more of our ice-breaking song for the DVD to get people on their feet in preparation to the new composition songs which we were to do from the 16-track Live DVD recording.

“So, we are dropping it today,” he added.

The group celebrated its milestone through a live DVD dubbed Restoration, which carries 16 tracks, and is part of their celebrations of a 10-year journey.

The group was assembled in 2012, with the aim of nurturing aspiring musicians determined to change the lives of people and spreading God’s love through worship.
