ZIM dancehall sensation, Guspy Warrior says he will not stop catering for lovebirds.

The preacher’s son said he was set to release love songs ahead of February, the month of love.

In an interview with H-Metro, the Seunononga singer said he was ready to cater for lovebirds on Valentine’s Day.

“I am focused on Valentine’s Day where we have a couple of love songs that we are compiling for the lovers. I am still working on videos of the songs, from my Emmanuel album. There are some videos that I am working on,” he said.

Guspy, the last born child to gospel supremo Baba Machanic Manyeruke, also reflected on the past year.

“2021 was a bit challenging and also eye-opening in terms of business, in terms of survival, getting to see the importance of doing something else. Music-wise, we now have a new sound dominating the dancehall scene, on the market.

“We are glad that we have Afro beat, Amapiano making waves and new dancehall trap after that break which enabled people to try other beats,” he said.

The Chitungwiza-bred chanter, who has also released a gospel album titled Emmanuel featuring some of the country’s finest artistes, said the past year gave him an opportunity to experiment.

“People received my gospel album very well on the street. I managed to do some CDs.

“I get a lot of feedback from my fans but I don’t know why it didn’t dominate the gospel chart shows and scenes. I featured big names like Baba Charamba, but to my surprise the album did not enter the charts,” he said.
