A Kwekwe rural school yesterday received personal protective equipment (PPE) from Zimbabwe Newspapers 1980 Limited’s leading tabloid, H-Metro.

H-Metro donated 50 litres hand sanitizers, 50 litres of disinfectants, 50 litres of liquid soaps, 200 face masks and 50 litres of toilet cleaners to Mangwarangwara Primary School.

The donation was received by My Father’s House (MFH) Revival Trust country director, Pastor Theresa Mazoyo.

Handing over the donation, H-Metro Deputy Editor Charles Mushinga said personal health was the best security for people to achieve their dreams.

“As H-Metro we value people’s lives, peace and security hence the need to donate these PPEs,” said Mushinga.

“We have children who are talented but are not noticed because they are in rural areas.

“They have the brain and potential to turn around their communities and the country at large.

“Covid-19 has taken lives globally and this has eroded brains that can change our nation.

“By this donation we want the young people to be prevented from this deadly pandemic.

“We value their health and their health is the best security for them to achieve their goals,” he said.

In her acceptance speech Pastor Theresa Mazoyo hailed H-Metro publication with the donation saying it will save the children and staff from the pandemic.

“While MFH Revival Trust is paying school fees for some of these vulnerable children, the schools are unable to provide fully alleviate the effects of this pandemic by providing PPEs in their schools.

“Hence this donation will go a long way in saving lives,” said Pastor Mazoyo.

MFH Revival Trust provides parental guidance to orphans and other vulnerable children, through encouraging community involvement in the care of orphans and vulnerable children.

They also provide counselling to abused children and train vulnerable children in self-sustaining income generating projects.
