THE H-Metro OK Grand Challenge special edition was a big hit with people who attended the final day of the promotion at Borrowdale Park Racecourse on Saturday.
H-Metro produced a special Saturday edition for the grand finale.
The newspaper has become the medium of choice for special events and published an edition to celebrate Ngezi Platinum’s historic league championship success story.
The paper then followed this up with a special edition of the Harare Derby between CAPS United and Dynamos last month.
On Saturday, the paper published a special edition for the OK Grand Challenge grand finale.
The latest publication was handed free of charge to those who came to Borrowdale Park Racecourse courtesy of a partnership with OK Zimbabwe.
“It’s quite informative,” said Max Mukoyi, who was so sure he was going to win one of the cars.
“I think this is common at major events in the world.
“It gives you information about the event, the past and even a hint into the future.
“I am not really into horse racing but I can describe myself as a gambler because I am targeting winning one of the cars.
“But, thanks to this paper, I now know a bit about horse racing and I now know that we used to have a super horse called Stay Alert.”
H-Metro Editor, Robson Sharuko, said:
“We have to thank our partners because without their support we could not publish this special edition.
“It shows the power of partnerships and we are happy that we have won the confidence of these major firms that we are the paper of choice when it comes to these special events.
“The OK Grand Challenge is huge and it’s now a national event because its appeal is nationwide.
“We will continue to work hard and, hopefully, give our partners value for their money.”
