ZIMBABWE international defender, Teenage Hadebe is still to decide on his next move after deciding to end his stint with US Major League Soccer side, Houston Dynamo.
Offers have come from within the MLS while there are also options in Europe and the Middle East where the Saudi Arabia League has been a lucrative alternative for many footballers.
Hadebe joined Houston Dynamo in 2021 after two seasons with Yeni Malatyaspor in Turkey, where he was included in the Süper Lig Team of the Season in his first year at the club.
He featured in the UEFA Europa League the following year.
The two-year marriage with the Houston Dynamo ended on Monday with Hadebe taking to social media to say:
“To all the wins I have had all the great times this is goodbye to the team and marking a farewell to end of season at Houston Dynamo and the coaches, Ted, Pat, Asher, Nick and the technical staff thank you for trusting me. I will forever be grateful to my teammates and fans.”
The 28-year-old Hadebe had an injury-hit final season at Houston Dynamo, where he featured in only 14 matches, 12 of them in the starting line-up.
He was part of the Warriors as they took on Rwanda and Nigeria in the opening two matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers last month.
Speaking to Zimpapers Sport yesterday, Hadebe said he was taking some time off to rest before settling on his next destination.
“I’m still deciding on my next move, it’s off-season here so I’m just resting and haven’t made my decision yet.
“I’m grateful to Houston who gave me a chance and we made some memories here.
“Coming here was a big move for me and I am happy with that.
“I will miss the fans, they showed me love and supported me since I got here. It’s time to move on and a new chapter.
“I’m not yet sure what the future holds but I believe in God to make a move for me.
“For now, it’s rest time and will let you know as soon as I know my next move.”
