Harare lawyer Liberty Mandivheyi is under fire following a complaint filed to the Law Society of Zimbabwe against him by his former employer.
In a letter that H-Metro is in possession of, Mandivheyi’s former employer Rubaya and Chatambudza wrote to the Executive Secretary of the Law Society of Zimbabwe Edward Mapara raising a complaint that Mandivheyi’s employment at the firm ended in November 2019 and it has come to their attention that he is operating as a legal practitioner and is passing off as if he is still practising under firm.
It was further stated in the letter that about 10 days ago, Mandivheyi reportedly appeared before Chegutu Magistrates Court wherein he purported to be from the firm and when he was ordered to produce his practising certificate, he failed to produce it resulting in him being handed over to the police.
The letter was copied to the Judicial Service Commission and the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
