. . . Pauline drags actor Muzondo to court
Rest Mutore and Latwell Nyangu
POPULAR urban grooves musician Pauline Gundiza has accused theatre practitioner Tafadzwa Muzondo of fondling her breasts before kissing her without her consent at a music event held in Highfield recently.
Gundiza has since dragged Muzondo to the Mbare Magistrates’ court where he was charged with indecent assault.
Muzondo pleaded not guilty when he appeared before magistrate Stanford Mambanje who remanded him out of custody on $100 bail.
He will be back in court on April 16 for trial.
Muzondo’s case saw a number of artists thronging the court yesterday when the matter was heard.
It is said on March 23 around 5pm, Pauline was at Action Hub Studio in Highfield with other artists where she had been invited to be a guest at their album launch.
After the business of the day, Pauline was waiting for transport along with her friends identified as Mariane and Khedha when Muzondo told her that her breasts were beautiful.
According to the State, the comments did not go down well with Pauline who enquired from her friends if they had heard what Muzondo had said to her.
Further allegations are that Muzondo then leaned towards Pauline before fondling her breasts and left.
Possibly feeling that he had wronged her, Muzondo is said to have returned and apologised to the diva and went on to kiss her.
All this did not go well with Pauline who lodged a complaint with the police leading to Muzondo’s arrest.
Lawrence Gangarahwe prosecuted.
