A Harare woman has approached the courts after being allegedly assaulted by her husband’s friend.
Barbra Nyamana is seeking for a protection order against her husband Max Goreka who is sending his friend’s wife and other people to assault her for no apparent reason.
“Goreka sends his friend’s wife to assault me saying I don’t know how to take care of my husband.
“She told me that my husband is losing weight because I am not feeding him.
“She told me that she was told by Goreka to come and assault me.”
Nyamana told the court that Goreka does not want her to buy property.
“He does not want us to buy property and if I buy something he destroys it or gives his friends.
“He destroyed my water glasses, solar panels and windows,” she said.
Goreko shifted the blame to Nyamana.
“She is violent; she destroyed her own property when she refused to visit my relatives in the rural areas.
“She does not want to see my relatives and I don’t know why.
“I never insulted her or assaulted her and I don’t know what she is talking about; about my friend’s wife assaulting her?”
The presiding magistrate Gladys Moyo granted the protection order in Nyamana’s favour.
The two were ordered to maintain peace and seek counselling since they have children together.
