THE 1-0 victory over Nichrut has left Herentals Football Club believing that they have acquainted to the pressures and demands of the Premier Soccer League.
Archmore Majarira’s maiden Premiership goal inspired Herentals to their fourth win of the season and more so, stretching their unbeaten run to five games.
In these five games, Herentals have managed to collect nine points, two wins and three draws that have taken them to the ninth position with overall 18 points.
“We are feeling that we have settled. We struggled in the first days but we re-arranged ourselves and its now hard to lose. We have improved ourselves,” Herentals manager Oliver Chirenga told H-Metro.
Herentals last lost a game on match day 10 to FC Platinum then went on to beat both Triangle United and Nichrut 1-0, draw one-all at Mutare City Rovers and goalless draws with Black Rhinos and Dynamos.
A good and encouraging spell it has been for Herentals but Chirenga says it’s still work in progress hence they have to end the first round on a high with victories over Chicken Inn and Shabanie Mine.
“We have to collect maximum points so we have to take those six points that’s our target. We are serious about our game and we want to win all games,” he said.
It must have also been a good sign for Herentals coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva to see one of his forwards, Archmore Majarira, finding the face of the goal to complement their impressive attacking play.
More goals to aid the scoring conversion rate will be needed for Herentals especially as the hardly fought second round of the season is just around the corner.
