A draw on away turf is a result that Herentals coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva will gladly take in the Premier Soccer League but deep inside he is under pressure and worried.
Herentals played a 1-1 draw at Mutare City Rovers as a 26th minute penalty conversion by Blessing Maunganidze cancelled Brian Chinhoi’s 14th minute opener.
Mutiwekuziva admitted that pressure to collect maximum points is now piling on them. This was Herentals’ fifth draw of the season.
“The draws are increasing and now giving us pressure because we need to win.
“Week in week out drawing but with this one I am not very much worried because I was playing away.
“At home now I expect these guys to deliver particularly the three points so that we can move up the ladder on the log standing.”
Herentals have drawn against Yadah, Harare City, Bulawayo Chiefs, Black Rhinos and now City Rovers.
Mutiwekuziva feels they have to up their game by converting draws into wins especially faced with big tasks against Triangle United and Dynamos this week.
The gaffer also admitted getting worried and felt they should have taken full points against City Rovers.
“I am getting worried because we are not converting. This is the main reason because we have got good chances coming along and we are not taking them then we end up settling for draws which is not good for us at the moment.
“I am not much underrating them (City Rovers) but we should have taken points due to the chances we have created,” he said.
