Morebling Phiri in PLUMTREE
A FORM Three pupil from Plumtree High School is writing his own success story as he will officiate in the upcoming Confederation of African Football Schools Championships in Harare next week.
At just 16, Henry Mzenzeli Ndlovu will carve his own piece of history when he probably becomes the first Zimbabwean pupil to officiate at an international football extravaganza.
The Harare event will run from December 14-17 and has attracted the best Zimbabwean talent.
Zimbabwe has assembled a schools’ team for these COSAFA Championships whose cut off age is 15.
Ndlovu is a holder of a Class Three refereeing certificate.
Having officiated in Division Three matches, the women’s Premier League and a friendly match between Highlanders and Mainline, as an assistant referee, the young man is eyeing to one day to officiate as a FIFA panel member.
