AN ESTRANGED Harare couple appeared at the domestic violence court with the man accused of harassing his children.
Melody Sanyika also accused her ex-husband Tinotenda Mangamba of physical and verbal abuse.
She has since applied for a protection order at the Harare Civil Court against Tinotenda.
“My ex-husband beats me up together with my children. He also shouts at me using vulgar language.
“I don’t want Tinotenda close to my house; my ex-husband should be banned from visiting my workplace in Kuwadzana,” said Melody.
She said Tinotenda was also neglecting the welfare of their children.
‘’I want him to pay maintenance,” she said.
In response, Tinotenda denied ever visiting Melody’s workplace.
“I never visited her workplace before.
“I admit that l abused her verbally but physically l have not.
“I don’t abuse my children rather l take care of them and sometimes l stay with them,” said Tinotenda.
Presiding magistrate Noah Gwatidzo granted the protection order in Melody’s favour.
