INFORMATION, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Jenfan Muswere says he represents all media houses in this country.
He made the remarks when he toured Nkululeko Rusunguko Television (NRTV) in Harare.
“To start with, let it be known that I am a Minister of all media houses operating legally in the country,” he said.
“Our focus is not to compare different radio and television stations, but to give the competitive support to each station to be able to educate, inform and entertain the nation and across the globe.
“To have a knowledgeable society towards the Vision 2030.
“An informed nation is able to understand the dynamics involved in all the developments carried and being implemented by President Mnangagwa.”
He added:
“The impact of all the developments being implemented, as well as highlighting the effects of sanctions, the focus is to ensure that we have a knowledgeable society.
“Information is power and a well-informed society is empowerment.”
He hailed NRTV for employing young people as engineers, producers, presenters and their commitment to gender balance.
Min Muswere has visited ZBC Mbare and Pockets Hill Studios and 3k Television.
