IMPLEMENT RESOLUTIONS TO POWER PROVINCIAL DEVELOPMENT, MIN CHOMBO SAYS

PROVINCIAL Government Heads of Departments have been urged to implement resolutions as they are critical in bringing results to develop Mashonaland West province.

The call was made by the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Marian Chombo, during a Mashonaland West provincial heads meeting, held at Cooksey Hall here.

Min Chombo said she was aware that the first quarter was characterised by numerous development challenges, chief among them being limited budgetary support.

“However, I noted with great delight that you managed to conduct the programmes and activities contained in your strategic plans.

“I would like to appreciate such noble efforts, which is a true demonstration of your innovation and endurance, indeed, you deserve a round of applause, “ said Min Chombo.

She said the meetings were being held to take stock of progress towards the implementation of the provincial economic development plan in fulfillment of NDS1 and for the ultimate realization of Vision 2030 as envisaged by President Mnangagwa.

“I would like to remind you that it is the implementation of resolutions that will bring results to develop our province, hence when the resolution is made and assigned to any MDA please ensure that the matter is pursued to a logical conclusion, between the next meeting,” she said.

Chombo said she does not want to miss meetings of this nature which shows the importance and emphasis she places on the provincial head’s valuable contributions.

Provincial Medical Director, Dr Celestine Dhege, told the house that availability of water had improved at the hospital.
