A TRUCK driver claimed he had eight other kids in a bid to avoid paying maintenance.

However, his ex-wife dispute that and said he only has two other children.

Munyaradzi Chinodewa was dragged to court by his ex-wife, Anesu Wasarakunze.

She was demanding US$170 in maintenance accusing him of neglecting their kids.

“I was shocked to see the summons because whenever she calls me asking for money, I immediately send it to her.

“I’m a good father, your Worship.

“I have eight kids and I work on a part-time basis and earn US$50 per trip and I only get two trips on a good month,” Munyaradzi said.

However, Anesu said Munyaradzi wasn’t being honest.

“He only has two other kids. I just want him to take care of his kids.

“Their fees are US$25 per term each and he has only paid fees once I have the receipts as evidence,” she said. Magistrate Ayanda Dlamini ordered Munyaradzi to pay US$40 maintenance and fees directly to the school.
