IT’S all systems go for this year’s edition of the Chibuku Road To Fame finals slated for Takashinga Cricket Club tomorrow.
Sungura kingpin Alick Macheso, Feli Nandi and Tocky Vibes will perform at the after party.
They will share the stage with DJ Fantan and Levels’ Chillspot Family as the sponsor, Delta Corporation, continues to build synergies across music genres.
The organisers have also moved from just promoting sungura, Afro-jazz and contemporary music to include Zimdancehall and Zim Hip Hop.
Ten groups, drawn from the country’s 10 provinces, will battle it out for the ultimate US$15 000 prize money while the first and second runners-up get US$10 000 and US$7 000.
Delta Corporation marketing director, Irimayi Muzorewa, said they were ready for the final.
“The moment we all have been waiting for has come and we would like to wish every participant the best in the battle, may the best group win.

“We want to invite all our loyal customers to come and support their bands and have a moment with us.
“There are plenty of activities lined up.
“We have included several guest artists, including Alick Macheso, Feli Nandi, Tocky Vibes, Pumacol, Bazooker Jah Master and Ndunge Yut,” said Muzorewa.
Last year’s winners, Grade 2D, who recently launched their debut album, are also set to perform on the day.
Groups that have made it to the finals include Midlands’ Afro Jazz ensemble 911, Hi-Five (Mash-Central), Deze raWasu (Manicaland), Kweseka (Mat-North), Gutu Stars (Masvingo), Mazwi (Harare), Ziyaduma Express (Mat-South), Visionaries Band (Mash-West) and The Royal Band (Bulawayo)
The climax of the annual talent search programme, which promises to be an explosive affair, ran from September 9 to October 14 under the theme “Imba Tinzwe, Cula Sizwe Superstar!”.
Entrance will be free of charge, with performances set to start at 10 am.
