THE breakdown of the relationship between Little People Association in Zimbabwe’s Esnath Marufu (40), and her estranged husband, Phillip Marufu (42), is getting worse.
She is now accusing him of stalking her.
She said Phillip hired people who were now stalking her.
“He sends people to follow me wherever I go and I want him to put an end to that.
“I also do not want him at my workplace and at my house,” said Esnath.
Phillip told the Harare Civil Court that he had no problem abiding by Esnath’s demands.
“I do not have any problems in doing what she wants.
“I won’t go to her workplace or to her house,” he said.
Magistrate Mandlenkosi Ndlovu granted Esnath the protection order.
The order prohibits Phillip from following or harassing Esnath, going to her workplace or house, and hiring people to stalk her.
The magistrate warned Phillip that if he breaches the order, he will be held in contempt of court and face penalties.
Esnath was granted the protection order after Phillip was granted a similar order against her a few weeks ago.
The two tied the knot in 2019 in a wedding that was hailed as a pure demonstration of love.
Their marriage has, however, been on the rocks as they have been hauling each other to court.
There are pending assault charges against Phillip and his siblings at the Harare Magistrates’ Court in which they are accused of assaulting Esnath.
