TINO Kadewere says he isn’t talking about his future right now and will only do so after June 30 when his loan deal with French Ligue 1 side Nantes expires.
He joined Nantes on a six-month loan from Olympique Lyon and made 15 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.
Nantes survived relegation at the weekend and reports have indicated that the Zimbabwe international is set to move permanently to the club after it escaped the chop.
But, yesterday, Kadewere told Zimpapers Sport he was yet to make a decision on his future as he is still focused on his deal.
“It is still early to discuss my next move. My focus is still with Nantes and I am still here until June 30 when my loan deal expires.
“It is only after then that we will talk about my future,” said Kadewere.
With the Ligue 1 season coming to an end on Sunday, the Warriors striker is expected to be part of the Warriors squad set to play Lesotho and South Africa in a World Cup qualifiers match early next month.
“Like I said that focus is on us finishing the season on a high and then after that I am looking forward to the World Cup qualifiers, so for now I am focused on those issues,” said Kadewere.
He had a huge sigh of relief over the weekend after his team escaped relegation from the French Ligue One, with one match to go, before the curtain comes down on this season.
Kadewere’s Nantes suffered 1-2 defeat to Ligue 1 third-placed side Lille on Sunday.
Despite the defeat, Nantes survived the chop as Metz, Lorient, Clermont Foot and Le Havre all lost.
The defeat of the three teams meant that Nantes survived relegation with one match to go before the Ligue 1 seasons ends.
It was a big sigh of relief for Kadewere who joined Nantes in January on loan.
“I am really excited that we have survived relegation, it is a good thing for me as a person and for the team as a whole.
“Everyone here is excited,” said Kadewere.
