CHICKEN Inn captain Moses Jackson believes the team got what it takes to challenge for the championship in the upcoming Premiership season.
As part of their preparations, the Gamecocks are set to depart for a pre-season invitational tournament in Malawi on Tuesday.
“Our aim as a team is to win the title which is not an easy task but we believe through hard work we are going to make it.
“The management has done well in beefing up the squad, they had replaced those who left and I think these new signings are going to add value to the team we had last season as well as bringing much competition within the club.
“With what we have I believe we are going to challenge for honours,” said Jackson.
Jackson, one of the longest serving players, says he will use his experience to help the team to achieve its set goals.
“I also want my experience to add value to the team, I’m looking forward to be on top of the game but mostly to help the team to win the trophy
The skipper also thinks that the season is going to be competitive after teams were active on the market.
“I foresee much competition in this season, clubs are strengthening their teams. Almost everyone is active in the market preparing to challenge for the tittle,” he said.
