Soul Jah Love will be the headline act at the Platinum Records Studio launch set for Kempton Park, Joburg on September 29.
The potentially exciting gig features an array of chanters like Don Diva, MP Spingindati, Myles, Pep Zee and Ice Wiper among others.
Speaking to H-Metro, Platinum Records boss Phil Medzani said:
“Platinum Records will be officially opening for business in October and we have Jah Love to perform at the opening event of the studio.
“We are also going to have him visit the studio and have a couple of recordings so as to endorse the studio.
“We have worked with him before when we were based in Harare and so our relationship with him is just continuing from the old days,” he said.
“As Platinum Records we are looking forward to uplift and promote raw dancehall talent with in South Africa and we have some upcoming artistes that will open the stage for Jah Love.
“These are some of the artistes that we are already working with at Platinum Records.”
Platinum Records is set to release a new riddim after the launch of the studio.
