JAH Prayzah is targeting a one-night US$30 000 payout next month.
The 36-year-old’s camp has announced he will be hosting 300 guests on November 2 at The Venue in Avondale.
Dubbed “Intimate Acoustic Night”, fans will have to fork out US$100 per head.
“Only 300 tickets to be sold,” reads the post.
This has been embraced by showbiz chiefs who hailed Jah Prayzah as a brave artist who knows his value.
Music promoter, Josh Hozheri, has hailed the crooner for his growth.
“I am one of the people who embrace this show because it’s a sign of growth on Jah Prayzah’s side.
“He has demonstrated to us that he is innovative and he wants to cater to all his fans on both ends.
“By the way, there are some people who like Jah Prayzah but they want class and can’t be everywhere,” he said.
Hozheri says there is nothing wrong with Jah Prayzah charging US$100 for the acoustic set.
“Jah Prayzah has made it clear that he wants to cater for both classes of people and this time around he has a specific target market.
“He is trying to strike a balance by catering for everybody.
“I know there are several shows lined up and he will be catering for every class of people.
“I support him on this one because he knows his value and what he wants in showbiz.”
Similar sentiments were echoed by Partson “Chipaz’ Chimboza, who hailed Jah Prayzah, for his confidence and bravery.
“It shows growth from the time when people watched him for free to people paying US$100. It is a sign of the growth of the brand.
“Secondly, with the limited venues we have, it’s good for the industry to see artists making choices.
“We expect more artists to grow like Jah (Prayzah) and also accommodate those who have their money but can’t go to our normal events.
“He must keep up doing this concept for the good of the industry,” he said.
