JAH PRAYZAH and his management team would not be drawn into revealing what shall become of their album launch that had been set for April 3 at Alex Park following the ban on public gatherings over COVID-19 pandemic.
That the show at Alex Park is off is a fact but it could not be established whether Jah would go on to launch the album on the same date and how he intends to do so.
Sources close to the goings on at the Jerusalema hit maker’s offices said he was locked up in meetings over the next move at the time of going to print whilst calls to his number and his manager’s phones went unanswered.
On Monday, Jah Prayzah released a video of the title track to the album, “Hokoyo” and it was an instant hit, managing 16 000 views in the first hour and 100 000 within 14 hours. At the time of writing it was threatening to break the 200 000 views mark in less than 48 hours and had taken the number one trending slot as hype to the album launch intensified.
However, it will not be as planned as the country went on high alert to avoid COVID-19 yesterday after President Mnangagwa pronounced a state of emergency over the virus and the World Health Organisation announced it a pandemic.
