A torch-bearer for most young and upcoming artistes, Jah Prayzah has decided to rope in some of the youthful artistes to be part of the celebrations.
Reigning National Arts Merit Awards Outstanding Female Artiste of the Year Tammy Moyo has been roped in along with Ammara Brown.
Tammy is a tried and tested performer while Ammara is no doubt one of the most sought out divas who gives it all on stage and fans need to be reminded what to expect from her this Saturday.
Not to be outdone is Zim Hip Hop game changer King 98 who has been doing well on both the local and regional front.
Buoyed by a number of refreshing club bangers off his debut album Francesca named after his mother, the 22-year-old is indeed a revelation on the local showbiz since.
Like the proverbial prophet who does not have honour on home-land, King 98 has been afforded yet another platform to silence his doubting Thomases.
It’s indeed a huge platform for the rapper to cement his musical romance with local, accord to his fans.
- ONE LOVE/HONOUR
In spirit of oneness and genuine appreciation, all the artistes in the line-up said they were humbled after being included in the line-up.
King 98’s camp were the first to salute the Murewa bred singer for inviting them to be part of the celebrations.
“It’s yet another big platform we have been given by our big brother Jah Prayzah to share the stage with him on his birthday.
“Jah Prayzah and King 98 are good buddies and they have been working together on some projects and they always exchange notes.
“So this invitation is a bit special to us because we will be connecting with the fans,” King 98’s manager and lieutenant DJ Simmz was quoted as saying this week.
“Hard work is one of the things that we have learnt so far and we hope to put that into practice as well.
“We have also learnt that there is need to reach out to the international market by working with some of the continent’s finest artistes.
“To date, we have worked with Davido, Zlatan, Nasty C and we are also courting other international stars.
“By doing these collaborations, we are trying our best to make an international breakthrough.”
With most artistes grounded on lockdown, DJ Simmz said King 98 has been busy in the studio and travelling a lot doing his charity work.
“We might be on lockdown but we are doing our best in the studio and I can assure our fans that there is work progress.
“As we speak right now, we have since recorded a number of singles that we hope to release soon.
“We have also been working on visuals and we hope all the plans will go according to plan.”
- CORPORATE APPEAL
With a number of corporates battling to be associated with Brand Jah Prayzah, it shows that the youth icon is now a brand to rely on in Zimbabwe.
One such brand, which has always been associated with Jah Prayzah is Impala Car Rental who have partnered him on his 33rd birthday celebration.
Jah Prayzah’s camp said they were looking forward to the event where they are set to set celebrate the birthday of their paymaster on song on dance.
