BULAWAYO-BASED Afro-fusion legend, Jeys Marabini, and Freddie Gwala are bound to meet in the UK for an historic tour.
Titled “Rhythms of Southern Africa: A Musical Journey,” the tour will feature Tshedi Malaika from South Africa, Agga Nyabinde, Lady Bee and Ma9nine from Zimbabwe.
The tour will be hosted by hosted by Shanyai Events.
Gwala is to take fans down memory lane when he alternates under one stage with Marambini.
The widely-travelled Marabini, who has performed in different countries including the United States, Austria, India, Canada and South Africa, has been part of the arts industry for over 30 years.
The contingent will be joined by UK-based artists Linos Wengara Magaya, Sisa Senkosi, Meduulla and Leroi Houdini.
Marabini said he was grateful to be part of a line-up of amazing artists from Southern Africa.
“We are rehearsing as we are preparing for the upcoming UK tour and me, and my full band, are super excited about it.

Jeys Marabini has produced 10 albums that have been made an impression in Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and other countries.
He is a musical icon, thanks to his ability to blend traditional African rhythms with modern sounds.
Gwala is recognised as the originator of the Zumba genre, which is a blend of Afro-disco and soul music.
