South Africa based rapper, Jimmie Maleta, says he decided to release a love song during the current lock down because he wanted to bring warmth into homes.
Several countries are currently under lockdown due the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic
The song recorded during this lockdown is titled “No one but you” features Senamile.
“The song is a love song.
“I just thought of bringing warmth into the homes of all as we are quarantined across the globe.
“Since most have been holed at home with family I just wanted a melody that can be played and listened by all at one go in the comfort of their homes,” said Maleta.
“It was a slight shift from the usual rowdy outdoor flaws I usually release.
“The song tittle “No 1 But You” speaks for its self. ”
“The track comes with a video.
“We managed to squeeze in with the latest technology of duplication of scenes to avoid being caught on the wrong side of the law for going against the stringent measures imposed on crowd control to compact the spread of the pandemic.
“Big thumbs up to our chorographers and team for a job well done on this project,” he said.
The award nominee said he is also using this time to self reflect and perfect his craft.
“Just like everyone else I have been hit hard in all spheres though I fall under the essential skills bracket.
“This lockdown phase is a long journey that will go down in history.
“Of late I have been trying to use it to my advantage by putting more effort on perfecting my art.
“I am also reflecting on who truly has my best interests at heart in this personal quest, ” he said.
