Zimbabwe international Tinotenda Kadewere begun his life at Lyon with a training session on Tuesday.
Kadewere said it is a great feeling to meet his new teammates and have a feel of his new home.
“It was great you know. It’s finally here and l couldn’t wait.
“The environment is great. And l can’t wait for the games to begin,” he said.
Despite the positive feeling, the former Harare City forward said he was nervous.
“At first it was nerve-wracking because you know it’s a huge club and my first day.
“But l always thank God for the opportunity and l know he will give me strength to pull through.
“I know it’s a big club and l know what’s expected of me but overall I’m just happy to be here and for the opportunity.”
The Warriors striker said his aim is to work hard in the French Ligue 1.
“I’m just looking forward to playing and l’ve been working extremely hard even though we were on lockdown.
“Was doing individual trainings day in day out to maintain my sharpness.
“And l feel l’m being closer to being ready when the season resumes,” he said.
The 24-year-old added:
“Of course its different stage but football is the same everywhere.
“I’m just here and will continue working hard and do all l can then leave the rest to God for he is the only one that can help me in everything l do,” he said.
