The animated show focuses on the Hardships that young men face in society and how there is lack of support for them since men are expected to be traditionally “Strong”.
The story follows the life of Petros, who loses his father at 10 and sadly the lack of support that follows drives him deep into a life of crime.
The animation show explores the theme of vulnerability and masculinity in the context of our society with the hope to start a discussion around vulnerable young boys.
The Show was premiered on Saturday the 17th of June at Sterling Boutique lodge in Harare and ran concurrently with Kakic Universe’s 5th anniversary.
The 3D animated show was matches international standards with its quality.
The first 3 episodes will be available on Youtube and the rest of the show will be on pay per view platforms such as Gateway stream.
“Journey of the Forsaken” is supported by the British Council Cultural Economy programme, which supports cultural organisations, festivals, artists, and creative.
The programme also creates art, build networks, collaborate and develop markets and share artists’ work with various audiences.
