KAIZER Chiefs legend Willard Katsande says he is yet to decide on his future following his departure at the club.
H-Metro Sport gathered that Katsande got an offer from Kaizer Chiefs to be in the team’s technical set up.
This, however, means he will have to quit playing.
He is also on the radar of other DStv Premiership sides Sekhukhune United, AmaZulu, Stellenbosch and Swallows which are some of the teams who are after his signature.
In an interview with H-Metro yesterday:
“I’m still yet to decide on what I should do.
“To join the setup and quit playing because Kaizer say they want to help me and create a role for me within the team’s set up.
“The other option is to join one of the teams that want me. I still need to sit down and really think what l need to do and see which of the two I’m ready to do.
“But I will make a decision soon,” he said.
Katsande said he is grateful for the time he had with Chiefs.
“Everything has an end. I have been here for a decade and I was going to leave eventually.
“Even those that are here, their time to leave will also come.
“I came here when I was 24 and I wasn’t playing at that time and this team believed in me when no one else did. I’m so grateful to them and I’m happy with my contribution to the team,” he said.
Katsande also posted a message on his social media accounts and said:
“It is with a heavy heart that I must leave my beloved Kaizer Chiefs family. I am honoured and eternally grateful to the chairman of the club, Mr Kaizer Motaung for granting me the opportunity to represent this great institution over the past 10 years.
“To the peace loving fans of Kaizer Chiefs I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support and encouragement over the years.
“You have consistently been the 12th man lifting our spirits during the good times and difficult phases. I trust that I represented the Badge and Brand with respect in front and faithful will forever remember the name at the back.
“I am blessed beyond imagination, having represented my childhood dream club for over 320 games, lifted four trophies and participated in the Champions league.
Kaizer Chiefs is my family and will always be in my heart. The journey continues and the next chapter of my life commences.
“To my wonderful children, thank you for accepting Kaizer Chiefs as an integral part of our lives.”
