Katsande wants to coach Warriors Willard Katsande

JOHANNESBURG. – Willard Katsande says his dream is to coach the Warriors.

The former Warriors skipper has detailed the motives behind his decision to attain his coaching qualifications after calling time on a decorated playing career in the DStv Premiership.

Since calling time on his career after a season at Sekhukhune United, the Zimbabwean has been building his business profiles which includes a clothing line, interests in construction and backed by a thriving social media presence that he started during the decade he spent at Kaizer Chiefs where he earned legendary status.

He has now completed a CAF D licence conducted in Tshwane.

“I did my CAF D licence in order for me to set the path of my growth since I know what I want,” Katsande told Kick-Off.

“I owe football because to get to where I am today is through football, so I owe football.

“This is now my time to share my knowledge to the next generation so that they come out better than us.

“With us we tried our level best, but it wasn’t good enough for us to conquer African football.

“I have dreams of moving into coaching because I have the passion and one day, I want to be the head coach of one of the PSL teams.

“My main objective is to coach the Zimbabwe national team.

“So, this is what drives me to be where I am today.

“Football is about learning every day so I’m learning as each day passes and I hope one day I will reach my target and hope I will be working with people that can add value into my coaching path.

“In this path there is a long way to go, and I hope it is going to be a good ride for me.

“All I need is to contribute to football because football has been good to me,” said Katsande who is also working as brand ambassador for Sekhukhune. – KickOff
