Triangle captain Ralph Kawondera says their 5-0 thrashing of Burundi’s Rukinzo is a morale booster going into their game against Ngezi Platinum today.
The two teams battle it out at Baobab today.
“Everyone is ready to play. The confidence levels are high since we are coming from a win.
“I know it’s different because this is a league game but that win has boosted our confidence,” he said.
Triangle won 1-0 in their first leg at home and Kawondera says they will be banking on that.
“We won in the first leg and would also want to go back home with maximum points.
“I know every game is different but we are ready for this one and we will just play our normal game,” he said.
“I am happy with the way we have gelled up as player.
“Even if you look at Allan Tavariswa he scored on Sunday but je just joined the team so it shows that we have gelled.”
Triangle have played 16 games and are on 23 points.
Kawondera says his wish is to be part of the teams on top.
“I dream and wish for our team to be part of the team on top. We need to keep in touch with teams on top.
“There are still many games and the games just started, so we will catch up with the top team.
“Our aim is to finish at a better position than what we did last season. We are doing all we can to make sure that we do, we’ve been trying,” he said.
