Khama Billiat

WARRIORS forward Khama Billiat reckons that their encounter against DRC on Saturday is going to be tough.

He however, promised to deliver.

The Kaizer Chiefs star said their game needs full concentration.

“Firstly we thank God for being back on national duty. We are really grateful.

“We know that it is going to be tough and we need to be more focused and not to concede a goal,” he said

Billiat added that he drew some positives from the game they played against Congo Brazzaville last month.

“The positives we drew from that game is obviously to take chances that we will create on the day.

“But we are looking sharp and blending very well in training.

“We all have the appetite and hunger for the game, we are ready.

“I believe that it is going to be a good game,” he said.

“If you look at our game against Congo Brazzaville, I think we did everything well, we just need to focus for the entire 90 minutes.

“It’s important to avoid conceding a goal especially when we are leading, if we get a goal we must try to protect even though we know it’s difficult.”

He added:

”I think it’s something all the players would want, qualifying and to be one of the teams that represent the nation brings a good feeling.

“I think we love it when there is pressure because it really motivates us to work hard and do better.

“And we actually have a clear idea of what we are playing for. We went to AFCON last time and we saw how nice it is, the atmosphere and everything is great.

“It will be great for our nation going there regularly. That’s the space where we want to be and it is will also be nice even for the next generation going to AFCON.”

Billiat is optimistic of collecting maximum points.

“It’s a tough game obviously, we are playing away. There is pressure for us, we really need maximum points and that the same for them.

“So it’s going to be a tough game. We just have to make sure we do everything to get ready mentally and physically for the game,” he said.
