RAPPER of the moment and philanthropist, King 98’s ‘bromance’ with Gift “Shiga-Shiga”Katulika is paying off.

The Francesca singer, who recently bailed out the Congolese chanter with groceries and cash after falling on hard times, has once again met the latter’s expenses for his video production.

Titled Zvinotamba Zvega, the video was shot yesterday in Domboshava with expenses accumulating to over US$1000.

However, King 98 preferred to remain anonymous but Shiga’s handlers felt he deserved credit.

Shiga Shiga

“I’m currently in Domboshava right now with King 98’s manager DJ Simmz and their videographer Simba G shooting my video.

“We are done with the shooting of my video and it will be released anytime soon.

“They met all the expenses and I don’t know how to thank them for the good work they are doing for me.

“King 98’s has come as a Savior in my life because he has been doing wonders in my life.

“He might be young but he really respect his elders and I don’t know how to thank him,” he said.

In another interview, DJ confirmed King 98 had once again bailed Shiga even though he wanted to keep it under wraps.

“They have just clicked from that time he donated to him  and he has been an admirer of Tongai Moyo where Shiga had a successful stint.

“He first met Shiga in Kwekwe where he had gone for a soccer match but he finally met him after a while recently.

“The cash donation for the video shoot is part of his social responsibility on lockdown,” he said.

Meanwhile, King 98 has been busy on lockdown handing over food hampers to the vulnerable.

Last month, he handed over food hampers worth ZW$10000 each  and cash to Congolese  chanter Gift “Shiga Shiga” Katulika  and his wife Susan, Progress Chipfumo, Sam Mataure  and two elderly people identified on Star FM Tilder Show.

He went on to donate to his rural home in Chivhu where hordes of villagers were left with food hampers set to last them for month.

King 98 wrapped up the Chivhu tour by donating to the Aldred Dondo Foundation which pays school fees for less privileged people in the area.

H-Metro is reliably informed that the money he used for donations was the budget for his international videos which has been put on hold.

Musically, King 98 is doing very well having collaborated with the continent’s finest.

These comprise South Africa rapper Nasty C, Nigerian superstars Davido and Zlatan among others.
